About Ishan Uday Scholarship 2023
The University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) launched the Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme under the Union Government. The Ishan Uday Scholarship provides financial assistance to financially disadvantaged students in the North East for higher education.
How To Apply Ishan Uday UGC Scholarship
- Visit the official web portal https://scholarships.gov.in/
- Now Click on UGC / AICTE Schemes List to Apply ISHAN UDAY – Special Scholarship Scheme Form.
- Then open a new tab and click on the New Students Registration link.
- Now click on the checkmark and press the Continue button.
- Enter your required details, log in to the application after completing the registration process.
- Then fill the application form with the required details – like personal details and others.
Selection Procedure of UGC Ishan Uday Scholarship
- 10,000 fresh scholarships will be awarded each year.
- Distribution of slots among the states of NER will be done on the basis of population census(last).
- If slots in a particular state remain vacant due to non-availability of eligible candidates, the unfilled slots shall be equitably distributed amongst other states.
- Reservation for Persons with Disability (PwD) shall be made as per the Government of India norms.
